Export leads

Export leads to CSV or JSON from any list, pipeline or selection, with only revealed contact fields and their sources.

2 min readLast updated

You can export your leads at any time, on every plan. Exports are CSV or JSON, include your custom fields and provenance, and contain only the contact details you've revealed.

Export from a list or pipeline

  1. Open the leads you want

Go to a list, a pipeline in table view, or the companies view. Apply filters if you want a subset.

  2. Click Export

The button is at the top right of the table. It exports every lead that matches the current filters, not just the visible page.

  3. Pick a format

Choose CSV for spreadsheets or JSON for code and other tools.

  4. Choose columns

Keep the default columns or pick your own. Custom fields are listed at the end.

  5. Download

Click Export. Small exports download immediately. Large ones run in the background, and you'll get a notification with the download link.

To export a hand-picked set, select rows first and choose Export in the action bar.

What's included

Exports never include contacts you haven't revealed. That keeps exports consistent with what you paid for and stops masked data leaving OmniLead.

CSV details

  • UTF-8 with a header row. Excel opens it correctly with Data → From Text/CSV.
  • Phone numbers are in E.164, such as +14155550123.
  • Multi-value fields, such as tags, are separated by semicolons.
  • Dates use ISO 8601, such as 2026-09-12.

JSON details

The JSON export is an array of lead objects, with the same fields as the REST API returns, including a sources array for provenance.

Who can export

Owners, admins and members can export. Every export is recorded in the audit log with who ran it, when, and how many leads it contained. Admins can review exports in Settings → Workspace → Audit log.

Exporting one person's data

If someone asks for a copy of the data you hold about them, open their profile and choose Export this lead. The file includes every field, its source, notes and the activity history.
