Upgrade, downgrade and proration
Change plans or billing interval, see exactly what you'll pay before you confirm, and what happens to your credits.
You can change plans whenever you like. Upgrades apply straight away, so you get the new features and credits the moment you confirm. Stripe works out the difference for the rest of your billing period, which is called proration, and shows you the exact amount before you confirm.
Owners and admins can change the plan. Members see who to ask.
Upgrade from Free or a trial
Open billing
Go to Settings → Billing, or click Manage plan in the credits meter.
Choose the billing interval
Use the Monthly / Annual toggle above the plans. Annual is ten times the monthly price.
Pick a plan
Click Upgrade to Starter, Upgrade to Growth or Upgrade to Agency.
Pay in Stripe Checkout
Enter your card and billing address, add a promotion code if you have one, and click Subscribe.
Return to OmniLead
You come back to the page you started from, on the new plan, with its full monthly credits.
Locked features open right where you are. If you upgraded from a locked lens preview, you land back in that lens.
Change a paid plan
When you already have a subscription, changing plan never creates a second one. OmniLead opens a Stripe confirmation page for the change instead.
Pick the new plan
In Settings → Billing, click the plan you want, for example Upgrade to Agency or Switch to Starter.
Review the amount
Stripe shows the new price, the credit for the unused part of your current plan, the amount due and when it's charged.
Confirm
Click Confirm. You return to OmniLead on the new plan.
How proration works
Stripe prorates to the second. When you change plan partway through a billing period:
- You get a credit for the time left on your current plan.
- You're charged for the time left on the new plan.
- The difference is charged or credited, as shown on the confirmation page.
Example. You're on Starter monthly at $49, 15 days into a 30-day month, and upgrade to Growth at $149. The unused half of Starter is worth $24.50 and the remaining half of Growth costs $74.50, so the difference is $50.00, plus tax where it applies. From the next renewal you pay $149 a month.
When you downgrade, the difference is a credit. It goes to your Stripe customer balance and is taken off your next invoices automatically; it isn't paid back to your card.
What happens to your credits
- Upgrade: your remaining plan credits are replaced by the new plan's full monthly credits immediately. Moving from Starter with 400 credits left to Growth gives you 5,000 plan credits, not 5,400.
- Downgrade: the plan credits you already have stay until the end of the current billing month. From the next renewal you get the lower plan's monthly credits.
- Pack credits are never affected by plan changes.
Switch between monthly and annual
Switching to annual starts a new yearly period on the day you switch. The unused part of your current month is credited against the annual price. Credits still arrive monthly on an annual plan.
Switching from annual to monthly works the same way: the unused part of your year is credited to your Stripe balance and used for your monthly invoices until it runs out.
What changes when you move to a smaller plan
Nothing is deleted when you downgrade. If you're over a limit of the new plan:
- Lenses not on the new plan show the locked preview. Leads you saved from them stay in your CRM.
- Mailboxes you already connected stay connected, but you can't connect more until you're under the new limit.
- Seats: everyone keeps access, but you can't invite anyone new until you're under the limit.
- Features such as A/B tests or the API stop working for new actions. Existing data stays readable.
To move to Free, cancel your plan instead. See Cancel your plan.
Agency extra seats
Agency includes 10 seats. Each extra seat is $25 a month (billed monthly or annually with your plan) and is prorated the same way. Add or remove extra seats in Settings → Billing under Seats.
Can I upgrade just for a month?
Yes. Upgrade, then switch back or cancel before the next renewal. Prorated credits make the short stay fair.
Do promotion codes carry over when I change plan?
A code applied at checkout stays on your subscription for its stated duration. Codes limited to annual plans stop applying if you switch to monthly.
Why was I charged more than the plan difference?
Tax is calculated on the prorated amount. The confirmation page and the invoice show the tax line separately.
